Audit & Accounts Senior – Top 100 Firm – Birmingham

Are you an ACA or ACCA-qualified accountant looking to take the next step in your career with a progressive and fast-growing firm? We’re currently supporting a well-established Top 100 accountancy practice in their search for an experienced Audit & Accounts Senior to join their team in central Birmingham.

The Role

As an Audit & Accounts Senior, you’ll play a key role in supporting Partners and Managers to deliver exceptional client service. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and completing audit assignments both onsite and remotely
  • Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts, VAT, and tax returns
  • Supervising and mentoring junior staff on assignments
  • Contributing to ad-hoc advisory projects and technical compliance work
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships through clear and confident communication
  • Identifying value-added services and opportunities to support clients further
About You
  • ACA or ACCA qualified
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an accountancy practice environment
  • Strong knowledge of accounting and taxation principles
  • Proficient with cloud-based software (e.g. Xero) and familiar with a range of accounting systems
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and problem-solving ability
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients and colleagues
