Job summary

Job description

We are looking for a passionate, dedicated, and motivated individual who is ready to make a real difference in the lives of our students. The ideal candidate will support the Attendance Manager and raise student achievement through actively promoting the importance of good attendance.

35 hours a week, 08.00am to 3.30pm, 39 weeks a year

Key Responsibilities
  • Play a key role in the development of attendance as part of whole‑school improvement. The main aim is to raise student achievement through actively promoting the importance of good attendance.
  • Under the direction and supervision of the Attendance Manager with accountability for attendance: Assist with overseeing the accurate inputting of data to ensure attendance coding on SIMS/Talaxy is correct and meets all deadlines.
  • Deal with telephone calls regarding student absence together with the subsequent follow up.
  • Develop a systematic approach to chasing students who are not in school and promoting good attendance to families.
What We’re Looking For
  • Basic IT skills and understanding of Health & Safety regulations.
  • Minimum 3 GCSEs at Grade C or above (including Maths and English).

  • Training will be provided, so prior experience is not essential, however an interest in 'Bringing out the Best' in every student/pupil in their learning outcomes.
