Working hours: 20 hours per week (can be negotiable)

Start time: 8.15 am daily

The Governing Board of Brandwood Community School wish to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Attendance Officer to join our friendly admin team, to ensure that attendance is monitored on a daily basis and to take relevant actions to raise attendance across all year groups.

The successful candidate will be someone who can demonstrate they have the commitment and ability to maintain our high standards of supportive communication with our diverse school community.

Ideal candidate will have:
  • A polite, patient and cheerful manner
  • Experience of working in an administrative role within a primary school or similar busy office;
  • A strong work ethic with excellent communication skills, both oral and written;
  • Good time management;
  • The ability to be flexible in response to the needs of the school;
  • Good coping strategies when under pressure and meeting deadlines;
  • An excellent rapport with children, staff, parents and visitors to the school;
  • Confidence in using IT and computerised systems with experience of SIMS; Discretion and be conscious of the need for confidentiality
