A high-performing comprehensive school is looking for an Attendance Lead to enhance student attendance and safety. You will work closely with students, families, and staff to foster a supportive environment that emphasizes engagement and safeguarding. The role requires experience with vulnerable populations and solid educational standards in English and Maths. This permanent, non-teaching position is a full-time role with structured hours from Monday to Friday.

We wish to appoint an Attendance Lead to play a crucial role in promoting and ensuring the attendance, and safety of our students. This position will involve close collaboration with staff, students, families and external agencies to create a supportive environment that prioritises attendance, safeguarding and educational engagement. Qualifications: A good standard of education in English and Maths to at least GCSE C/4 level, together with experience of working with vulnerable children or adults and working in an attendance or safeguarding role in an educational setting.
Hours of work: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm with a 30‑minute unpaid lunch break, term time plus inset days. Salary is paid at NJC Points 21-24 £33,143 - £35,412 pro rata.
