Job description
Overview

We’re on an exciting mission to win in the UK and make Sage the leading AI-driven technology provider for small businesses and accountants. As our UKI Associate Social Media Manager, you’ll be at the heart of shaping how Sage shows up online – building a trusted, people‑first social presence that resonates with our communities. This is a role for a creative, strategic thinker who loves social media, storytelling and community-building. You’ll help elevate Sage’s brand by creating meaningful content, nurturing relationships, and driving authentic conversations across multiple platforms. This role is hybrid, based 3 days in our Newcastle office.

Responsibilities
  • Bring our UK social strategy to life: You’ll lead the execution of Sage’s UK social media plan, ensuring everything we share aligns with our brand and commercial objectives. Own the UKI content calendar across LinkedIn, X, Meta, TikTok and Sage Voices – keeping channels fresh, timely and engaging. Support paid campaigns and influencer collaborations in partnership with our Paid Media and Performance Marketing teams.
  • Build trust and grow our audience: Develop and deliver social campaigns, content and activations for UK go-to-market initiatives, sponsorships, PR and brand campaigns, customer stories and thought leadership. Work with influencers, creators and niche communities to make Sage’s social presence more authentic and far-reaching.
  • Stay ahead of trends and insights: Use social listening tools to monitor audiences, sentiment, competitor activity, and emerging behaviours. Share actionable insights with Brand, PR and Marketing teams to inform smarter strategies and messaging and keep Sage’s social channels culturally relevant.
  • Protect and strengthen our reputation: Collaborate with Compliance and Legal teams to ensure content meets industry and regulatory standards. Manage reputation risks, handle misinformation or complaints, and maintain a robust crisis comms and escalation plan with Corporate Affairs.
  • Be our internal social media champion: Act as the social media lead for integrated brand and marketing campaigns, product launches and events. Upskill internal stakeholders on best practices, and work with business units, agencies and freelancers to ensure consistency in quality, tone of voice and storytelling across every channel.
Who we’re looking for

You’re passionate about social media and the power of digital storytelling. You combine creativity with data-driven thinking and have a keen sense of what resonates with different audiences. You’re organised, collaborative and excited about making an impact – building Sage’s reputation as a people-first, innovative brand.

What’s in it for you?
  • Generous bonuses and pension scheme: Up to 8% matched pension contribution plus 2% top-up by Sage.
  • 25 days of paid annual leave with the option to buy up to another 5 days
  • 8 bank holiday days
  • Paid 5 days yearly to volunteer through our Sage Foundation
  • 50% income protection
  • Holiday buy + sell
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage
  • Work away scheme for up to 10 weeks a year
  • Ongoing training and professional development
  • Hybrid working
  • Healthy Mind app membership
  • Access to various helpful memberships for finances, health and wellbeing
