Overview

Associate Sales Manager

Responsibilities
  • Lead a group of 3 – 4 Sales Associates in their day-to-day sales activity and drive revenue growth through managing the team’s opportunity portfolio, personal marketing activity and personal development.
  • Own an individual opportunity portfolio and support clients in assessing their Human Capital Management strategy, demonstrating why ADP should be their chosen partner.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive plan for team sales activity including pipeline and productivity; manage both personal and team quota.
  • Support the wider Leadership group in all active sales processes within the team, coordinating company resources effectively.
  • Fulfill the standard accountabilities of a Sales Associate in addition to the above objectives.
  • Monitor team performance daily, coordinate resources, monitor activity, and initiate corrective action as needed with the Regional Sales Manager to ensure sustainable results.
  • Generate new business through inbound leads and personal marketing efforts.
  • Execute on personal quota and contribute to the team target.
  • Manage sales opportunities through direct reports and provide weekly team and leadership forecasting.
  • Identify training and development needs across the wider team and deliver ad-hoc training sessions.
  • Submit relevant management reports in a timely manner with up-to-date forecasting information.
  • Be result driven with a focus on overachievement of quota; direct the team in training, engagement and development.
  • Be a member of the sales leadership team.
Qualifications
  • Ability to anticipate, identify and analyse problems and opportunities, establish priorities and apply resolutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial/sales issues, preferably within a Payroll/HR software and service environment.
  • Ability to review and measure progress against criteria and take corrective action as needed.
  • Excellent communication skills, personal integrity and a positive attitude in dealings with colleagues and clients.
  • Extensive direct selling experience, preferably within a Payroll/HR software and service environment with consistent over-performance.
  • Team Leader/Sales Management experience is desirable.
Education and experience
  • Must demonstrate extensive direct selling experience, preferably within a Payroll/HR software and service environment and consistent over-performance.
  • Team Leader/Sales Management experience (desirable).
