Locum Residential Property Associate

Location: London

Start Date: 5th January 2026

Ryder Reid Legal is seeking a Residential Property Associate to join their top law firm client's team on a temporary basis, initially for around 3 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing your own caseload of residential property transactions (sales, purchases, financing)
  • Acting for both private clients and banks on property financing
  • Drafting and negotiating transaction documents
  • Handling lettings, licences, deeds of variation, and other private client matters
  • Ensuring excellent client service while managing multiple time‑sensitive files

Person Specification:

  • Minimum 4 years' PQE with strong residential property experience (leasehold, freehold, new builds)
  • Organised, proactive, and able to manage a high‑volume caseload
  • Strong communication and client‑handling skills
  • Team player with drive, initiative, and commercial awareness
