The Role

Our UK non-contentious construction team acts a single team across the UK for a wide array of industry participants across the whole of the UK and internationally, including developers, SPV project companies, owners, lenders, contractors and equipment suppliers.

A unique opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and capable 2-5PQE associate to join our growing non-contentious construction team in our offices in either Edinburgh, Glasgow or Milton Keynes, acting in connection with local, UK-wide and international projects. In this role you will provide non-contentious construction support in respect of a broad variety of projects in the real estate development and investment, energy, transportation and infrastructure sectors.

Given the range of sectors and jurisdictions in which the team works you will gain experience acting on major projects for high profile clients across the whole of the UK and internationally as well as retaining a base load of domestic construction work. You will also have the opportunity to work individually, running matters and fronting client relationships whilst also working as part of a large cross-office team and having the benefit of the support network that this provides.

  • Supporting and leading on a large variety of transactions;
  • Building and maintaining existing client relationships;

Required experience, skills, and attributes
  • Experience of the UK real estate, energy and infrastructure markets desirable but not essential;
  • Scottish or English qualified preferable;
  • Experience of construction contracts (including main standard forms), consultant appointments, collateral warranties preferable.
