An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Patient Education Team at Rampton Hospital. The role involves teaching adults within a high secure mental health setting. We are seeking a skilled and committed teacher with experience in an educational environment, excellent teaching and learning skills, and the ability to work effectively with adults who have a range of mental health difficulties. The successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism and treat patients with dignity and respect at all times.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, deliver and review educational sessions under the supervision of a Band 6 Lecturer
  • Lead educational sessions and manage a patient learning caseload
  • Develop and deliver Schemes of Work and lesson plans
  • Embed Functional Skills across all subject areas
  • Review learning outcomes, evaluate sessions, and identify next steps for learning
  • Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other disciplines
  • Liaise with colleagues to prepare and adapt resources to meet diverse learner needs
  • Support accreditation opportunities in line with awarding body and Ofqual requirements
  • Maintain accurate written and electronic records using ICT systems
  • Escort patients within the hospital environment when required
  • Complete mandatory training, including Managing Violence and Aggression
