Derby College Group (DCG) are recruiting for a Associate HR Business Partner to join our high performing HR team. This is an exciting opportunity to provide specialist advice on all employment matters relating to staff and the provision of a high quality, proactive and efficient HR service and to participate in the preparation and delivery of HR related training. This role will involve hybrid working, including working across sites according to operational needs, and some home working.

You’ll work closely with managers and staff to provide support, advice and guidance on a range of HR related issues, including attendance management, grievance, capability and bullying & harassment cases. You’ll also work closely with the HR Business Partner team to support organisational change and participate in project work related HR and performance management functions. You’ll represent HR at internal and external events and contribute to cross-college projects.
This is a newly created role which represents a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in a growing team, with potential for further progression.

We’re seeking someone with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You’ll have a positive attitude, be resilient and able to multi-task under pressure.
A demonstrable record of working in employee engagement, employee relations and change management are essential for this role. Your understanding of HR best practice and current HR legislation should be highly developed and current.
