Job description

Are you an experienced Chartered Surveyor ready to take the next step in your career? We’re working with a long-established property consultancy with offices across the Midlands, known for their friendly culture, professional integrity, and multi-disciplinary expertise.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior or Associate-level Commercial Property Surveyor to join a thriving Shrewsbury-based team, helping to grow and shape the firm’s commercial agency and valuation offering.

The Role

You’ll be joining a close-knit group of surveyors, planners, architects, and consultants who work collaboratively across a wide range of projects. The business is large enough to offer variety and career progression, but small enough for your voice to be heard and your impact to be felt. You’ll take responsibility for:

  • Valuation & Appraisal – undertaking valuations for acquisition, disposal, rent reviews, and financial reporting.
  • Lease Advisory – managing lease renewals, rent reviews, and negotiations on behalf of landlords and tenants.
  • Asset Management – maximising returns from commercial portfolios through strategic planning and analysis.
  • Acquisition & Disposal – advising clients on investment opportunities and managing transactions from start to finish.
  • Client Relationship Management – building lasting relationships and providing clear, insightful property advice.
About You

You’ll be RICS qualified (ideally with 5+ years PQE) and confident across commercial valuation, asset management, and landlord-tenant legislation. You’ll combine technical ability with a proactive approach to business development and client care.

Key qualities include:

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • The ability to manage workloads independently and within a team.
  • A commercial mindset and enthusiasm for identifying new opportunities.
  • High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Solid IT skills, including Microsoft Office and property agency software (training provided).
  • A genuine passion for property and delivering results for clients.
