Overview

Music Week has been the leading trade media brand for the UK music industry for over 60 years and is essential reading for anyone who needs to understand the business of music, from major and independent record labels and publishing to the worlds of live music, management, radio, streaming, sync, marketing, brand partnerships, PR campaigns, charities and more.

What you'll be doing

Reporting to the Editor-in-Chief, you'll support in the planning and execution of each issue of the magazine - producing and commissioning original features and news, and the daily newsletter.

You'll also support on Music Week's events - constructing each event's programme, including exploring partnership and sponsorship opportunities. You'll be sourcing and managing highly-engaging judges and/or panellists/speakers/talent from within the industry. Fostering and maintaining those relationships.

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve
  • Ability to write high-quality, engaging content
  • Understanding of, and senior-level contacts within, the music industry
  • Live events experience (creating event programmes, sourcing talent, working with production and commercial teams)
  • Experience working with PR agencies and clients
  • Commercial and editorial acumen
