As a Workday Finance & UK Payroll Senior Manager you will help clients reduce costs, support innovation, and design end‑to‑end solutions using Workday technology. You will lead advisory and delivery projects, develop solution architecture, identify process and integration issues, and actively support an inclusive culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in both advisory and delivery projects, helping clients with transformation strategies and supporting the full lifecycle of Workday delivery projects.
- Work with clients to develop solution architecture and end‑to‑end processes supported by Workday technology.
- Identify key client process and technology integration issues and recommend solutions.
- Understand Deloitte’s commitment to creating a more inclusive culture.
- Bring specialist knowledge of Workday Financials & UK Payroll.
Required Experience and Skills
- Experience in ERP, EPM and cloud computing (including storage, platforms and data).
- Relevant work experience in Finance technology or a related field.
- Finance transformation experience with Workday.
- Translate business requirements into specific system, application or process designs covering both functional and non‑functional aspects.
- Good understanding of Workday transactional data flows and support for data migration activities.
- Workday Finance, FDM and Engagement Manager Certified (preferred).
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to plan and deliver the scope and deliverables of the team.
- Manage stakeholders with clear communication and build strong client relationships.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of risk in ERP delivery projects.
- Work effectively within an inclusive team and actively support the development of individuals and teams.
- Experience of at least two end‑to‑end Workday implementations.
- Demonstrated understanding of current best practices for automation, continuous integration/deployment and cloud‑based delivery models.
- Comfortable discussing technical issues with business people and business issues with technical people.
- Express complex concepts in plain language to reach broader audiences.
- Craft compelling messages tailored for a given audience, combining technical expertise with simple, everyday language.
- Demonstrated business domain and/or industry knowledge.
- Work well with a cross‑functional, geographically dispersed team and clients.
- Effective cross‑functional project management, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, focused on translating business requirements into information models.
- Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and self‑direction.
- Experience in consulting or professional services (or equivalent).
Hybrid Working Policy
You will be based in Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow or Manchester and will work flexibly through a hybrid model. Depending on role requirements, you may work from your local office, virtual collaboration spaces, client sites or remotely to support client needs and your own wellbeing.
