A major banking institution is seeking a motivated individual to join their Business and Commercial Banking Markets team. The successful candidate will engage with SME clients to facilitate market risk management transactions. Key responsibilities include developing business strategies, supporting clients with complex needs, and staying informed on market trends. The right person will join a team that predominantly delivers the sales, execution and facilitation of market risk management transactions for SME and Mid Corporate clients, supporting these clients in key stages of their business lifecycle.

This role is considered Certified under the Senior Manager and Certification Regime as either requiring mandatory qualifications or being deemed as a role capable of providing ‘significant harm’ to customers. Due to this, successful candidates will be subject to enhanced levels of vetting and required to complete a fitness and propriety attestation on commencement in role. Colleagues performing this role will be required to complete a fitness and propriety attestation on an annual basis and will also be subject to additional routine criminal and credit checks. As a certified colleague your details will be published on the FCA’s Financial Services Register. This role has been identified as a Client‑dealing function under SYSC 27.8.18R as defined in the FCA Handbook. The Person (“P”) performs the client‑dealing FCA certification function for a firm if: (1) P is carrying out any of the activities in the table in SYSC 27.8.19R; and (2) those activities will involve P dealing with: (a) a person with or for whom those activities are carried out; or (b) the property of any such person; in a manner substantially connected with the carrying on of regulated activities by the firm. If you manage certified colleagues this role will be identified as Manager of certification employees under SYSC 27.8.13R as defined in the FCA Handbook.
