Infraspec is proud to be working with a market-leading consultancy, seeking an Associate Director of Project Controls to take on a role of strategic influence and delivery leadership.

This is a unique opportunity to define how project controls is delivered on some of the UK’s most complex and high-value infrastructure programmes — spanning aviation, rail, utilities, and major civil engineering.

What You’ll Do

As Associate Director, you’ll be both a leader and a driver of innovation, responsible for:

  • Leading & Inspiring Teams – Grow, mentor, and empower project controls professionals to deliver excellence
  • Driving Client Success – Shape and enhance controls systems, processes, and governance across programmes
  • Commercial Leadership – Contribute to business growth through -earning work, bids, and client relationships
  • Performance Oversight – Assure the integrity of schedules (Primavera P6), cost, risk, and change data
  • Future-Proofing – Develop internal talent pipelines and evolve the consultancy’s project controls offering
About You

We’re seeking an established senior professional ready to step into a leadership role with both technical authority and strategic vision. You’ll bring:

  • Extensive expertise in project controls disciplines (planning, cost, risk, EVM, Primavera P6)
  • Proven experience leading large, multidisciplinary controls teams on major programmes
  • Deep understanding of PMO and programme integration within infrastructure delivery
  • Strong client-facing skills, able to influence senior stakeholders and board-level decisions
  • A track record in business development, bid leadership, or building long-term client partnerships
  • Sector background in aviation, rail, civil engineering, or utilities
