About this role

BlackRock Aladdin Data is entrusted with maintaining all data integral to the investment decision process for BlackRock the house and our Aladdin® and eFront® platforms. Data is at the heart of Aladdin and increasingly the ability to consume, store, analyze and gain insight from data has become a key component of our competitive advantage.

The Private Markets Data Governance and Master Data Management team, a part of our Private Data Services (PDS) organization, is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and reliability of private markets data for the Aladdin and eFront communities. We partner with product and engineering teams to deliver world‑class service to Limited Partners and internal users. Our team is known for being passionate about data, solving complex problems, and constantly innovating to deliver better solutions for our clients.

We are currently seeking an Associate to join our Data Quality & Governance team. In this role, you will help ensure the data on our platform is trustworthy, reliable, organized and well‑managed. You will work across the organization to improve data accuracy and completeness and help build and execute the reporting and controls necessary to maintain high quality data.

What you’ll be doing
  • Help set the policies and standards for data collected by the PDS operations teams, including maintenance of our data dictionaries and methodologies for data collection.
  • Ensure data collected by the operations team is of the highest quality and that we can accurately and consistently measure the quality of the data on the platform.
  • Implement practices to improve how we measure quality and client feedback processes.
  • Build reports to measure data quality and operator effectiveness.
  • Participate in data sampling and other projects to improve overall data quality.
  • Partner with client account management teams to address client concerns and educate clients on our data quality standards.
What you need
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree (preferably in Economics, Organizational Sciences, or a related financial background).
  • Advanced user of MS Office (especially advanced Excel functions such as V‑lookups, macros).
  • Familiarity with SQL, Python, PowerBI, or other tools for data manipulation and analysis is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Outstanding attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years related experience in financial services or data management.
