Assistant Site Manager – Residential Housebuilding

Location: Chippenham, Wiltshire | Salary: Up to £50,000 + competitive package | Type: Permanent

I am currently partnering with a bespoke, privately owned (non-PLC) house builder who is looking to appoint an Assistant Site Manager on a permanent basis for an exciting residential development in Chippenham.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business with a strong reputation for quality craftsmanship and design. With multiple new sites planned across the region, the successful candidate will be offered a clear and structured progression route to Site Manager.

The Role:
  • Supporting the Site Manager with the day‑to‑day running of the development
  • Assisting in managing subcontractors and trades on site
  • Helping to ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, and to a high standard of quality
  • Monitoring health & safety compliance and site presentation
  • Assisting with quality inspections, snagging, and handovers
About You:
  • Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager (or a highly experienced Site Supervisor looking to step up) within residential housebuilding
  • Strong understanding of build processes and health & safety requirements
  • Hands‑on, proactive approach with good organisational skills
  • Ambitious and keen to progress into a Site Manager role
