Description

A four form entry primary school based in Plaistow are seeking an assistant SENCo to support their school, this role will be based across two sites (12 min walk between them). This school is part of a larger trust giving you a stepping stone into a fantastic organisation to potentially further your career.

After the move of their current SENCo into a special school this school are seeking someone to work closely with the SEND class teacher and assistant head to support special needs students across the school. The main focus will be to support the specialist class that has 9 students learning a non subject specific curriculum and all require a 2:1 support, with access to a specialist teacher and specialist HLTAs and TAs.

The main aim of this role is to push forward the EHCPs, converse and support families, carrying out annual reviews, reports and support with the SEN plans and the pedagogy that feeds into that, it is favoured that you have experience in learning and teaching and worked closely with parents.
