We wish to appoint an enthusiastic and keen Assistant Secretary to join our Neonatal Administration Team based at Saint Mary's Hospital. Good organisational skills are essential together with the ability to communicate well at different levels.
You will assist the Medical Secretarial Team to provide a comprehensive administrative service to the Consultants, Lead Nurse, Matrons and Nursing Staff within the Newborn Service across the Managed Clinical Service.
We are looking for someone to join and contribute to thepositive approach to our working environment.You must work well within a team and be willing to learn new skills to continue to support our team to support our clinical colleagues.
You will have some previous administration/secretarial experience however full training will be given. You should be able to use Microsoft Office applications proficiently.

To support the Medical Secretarial Team with the provision of a comprehensive, high quality and efficient administrative and secretarial service to the Consultants, Head of Nursing, Lead Nurse, Matrons, Nursing Teams.
To assist Medical Secretaries in arranging and supporting meetings. This will include booking rooms or using Teams. Emailing agenda's and taking minutes where necessary.
Support Medical Secretary with arranging outpatient clinics and booking appointments with parents of patients. Preparing letters and correspondence to parents using the HIVE system (training will be given).
Data input into created spreadsheets and maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
Answering telephone queries from other departments and parents and forwarding where necessary.
Contribute when required to the provision of a reception service, greeting staff, parents and visitors.
