Experienced Assistant Sales Manager, required for our client’s Vehicle Dealership in Southampton.
Our client is a Multi-Site Dealership group with a larger presence within Hampshire and the Southwest, covering over 50 sites and over 20 automotive brands, ranging from volume performers to Prestige, Niche & High-End Vehicle.
You will be working with a fantastic, reliable brand, with a brilliant reputation for quality car making.

- A competitive Basic Salary of £35,000

- Working hours: Monday to Friday 08:30 - 18:00 (1 hour lunch) and Saturday 08:30 - 17:00 / Sunday 10:00 - 16:00 (1 hour lunch), with a rota day off in the week

Duties of an Assistant Sales Manager with our Client
- Assisting the Sales Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the sales department
- Managing a team of sales executives, providing guidance, coaching, and support
- Setting sales targets and closely monitoring performance to achieve desired results
- Building and maintaining strong customer relationships to drive customer loyalty and repeat business
- Supporting the sales team in negotiating and closing deals, ensuring customer satisfaction
- Assisting in the development and implementation of sales strategies and promotional activities
- Conducting regular performance evaluations and providing feedback to the sales team
- Keeping up-to-date with market trends, competitor analysis, and industry developments
What our client expects of their Assistant Sales Manager
- Several years motor trade experience; proven experience in automotive sales, preferably in a managerial or assistant managerial role
- Strong leadership and motivational skills, with the ability to inspire a sales team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service
- Strong negotiation and closing skills
- Results-oriented approach with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Sound knowledge of the automotive industry and market trends
- Proficiency in computer systems and software relevant to automotive sales
- Full UK Driving Licence – preferably clean
