Overview

Practitioner Positive Behavioural Support
Location: Central Region
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £31,827 per annum
Car Allowance: £3,700 per annum

This job description outlines the post and is subject to review in consultation with the post holder. You will be working as part of the Therapy Team providing guidance, active support, plans and coaching to teams across the division, supporting individuals with behaviour that challenges and individuals who are affected by a learning disability, autism, acquired brain injury and/or other mental health challenges. You will implement Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) strategies to improve quality of life and the service users well-being and to reduce restrictive interventions. You will plan, write up and develop personalised PBS plans that meet the needs of those we support and enhance their choice and independence. You will model the values of the organisation and demonstrate strong influencing and communication skills, creating a culture of openness and transparency where staff and service users feel engaged and empowered to innovate and improve services. You will provide psychology input under supervision by a qualified psychologist and trainee psychologists, including specialist psychological assessment, formulation and treatment within the limits of your professional competency and experience.
