Job summary

A healthcare provider is seeking an Assistant Psychologist to join their Community Learning Disabilities team. The role involves supporting clients through psychological assessments and interventions under supervision. Responsibilities include coordinating care plans, contributing to diagnostic clinics, and conducting therapeutic groups. Ideal candidates will have an upper second-class honours degree in psychology, communication skills, and an ability to work independently. The position is part-time on a fixed-term basis with a salary ranging between £31,049 to £37,796.

Qualifications

  • An upper second-class honours degree in psychology or equivalent.
  • Entitlement to graduate membership of the British Psychological Society.
  • Further post graduate training in relevant areas of professional psychology.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake psychological assessments of clients applying various tests.
  • Contribute to the diagnostic clinic for Autism Spectrum Condition.
  • Assist in delivery of care plans for psychological treatment.
  • Monitor the application of psychological methods offered to clients.
