This role as an Assistant Psychologist at Dunnock View, a 42-bed service providing treatment for men and women with mental health disorders, offers the opportunity to work with a dedicated team and make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals. As an Assistant Psychologist, you will work with men and women in a specialist mental health setting, addressing conditions like depression, self-harm, physical health concerns, and psychological distress including trauma. You will assist with assessments, formulations, and treatment, as well as clinically related administration tasks, audits, and research projects. The role requires an accredited psychology degree, a minimum of 1 year of experience as an Assistant Psychologist in a similar setting, and strong organizational, communication, and clinical skills.

What you will be doing
You will be working with men and women in a specialist mental health setting, alongside addressing conditions like depression, self harm, physical health concerns, and psychological distress including trauma.
As an Assistant Psychologist you will have the opportunity to assist with assessments, formulations, and treatment to our service users, under the supervision of the Senior Psychologist. You will also assist in clinically related administration including conduct of audits, collection of statistics, development of audit and/or research projects, teaching, and project work.

Dunnock View is a 42-bed service, providing treatment for men and women who may have suffered trauma and are affected by Mental Health disorders.
A trauma-informed care model is used to focus on length of stay to make sure individuals are able to move as quickly and safely as possible from the service to the most appropriate and least restrictive environment for them.
Service users could be suffering from Acute mental illness, Psychosis, Schizophrenia, Bipolar, Personality Disorder, Dual diagnosis, Self-harm, Substance misuse issues.
