Overview

The role will involve contributing to the provision of psychological interventions (1:1 and group-based) to clients within the community mental health teams, under the supervision of Clinical Psychologist(s). The post will require someone with a willingness to work alongside colleagues from other professions that form the MDT, whilst representing psychology as a unique contribution to the service. The role will also involve supporting the evaluation of the service through audits. An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Psychologist to work across the community mental health teams, within the Adult Psychology Service. Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the provision of psychological interventions (1:1 and group-based) to clients within the community mental health teams, under supervision.
  • Work alongside colleagues from other professions within the multidisciplinary team (MDT) and represent psychology as a distinct service contribution.
  • Support evaluation of the service through audits.
Requirements and Eligibility
  • Willingness to work with colleagues from other professions within the MDT and to engage in supervision and reflective practice.
  • Experience or interest in working across community mental health settings and secondary care.
  • Enhanced DBS check (the Trust will cover the cost; applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service may present a valid certificate in lieu of a new check).
  • Note: Applications from candidates requiring current Skilled Worker sponsorship to work in the UK are ineligible to apply.
