The Assistant Producer (AP) plays a vital part in the smooth delivery of UKTV’s promotional campaigns. Working closely with Producers, Creatives and Post Production, you’ll ensure all assets are delivered on time and to spec. • Coordinate material sourcing by liaising with production companies and internal contacts.
  • Act as the main liaison with the in‑house edit facility and external partners (e.g., Picture Shop, SES).
  • Raise and track purchase orders and goods receipting in a timely manner.
  • Book edit suites, voiceovers, audio sessions, and manage the session calendar.
  • Keep internal systems and databases up to date, flagging missing or incorrect information.
  • Monitor workflow progress, highlighting potential bottlenecks to Producers and the wider team.
  • Support delivery of on‑air, digital, and social promotional assets.
  • Ensure all brand assets are correct, on time, and in the right format for their intended platform.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple deliverables under pressure.
  • Positive, proactive, and detail‑focused with a passion for TV and content production.

  • Experience of file delivery systems (e.g., Peach, cinema delivery, social media delivery).
  • Experience of seeking clearances and permissions (e.g., music licensing, Clearcast).
Skills & personal qualities
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills; able to juggle multiple deliverables under pressure.
  • Excellent stakeholder and communication skills with a collaborative approach.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and file‑management tools.
