We are currently looking for a property professional to join our Occupiers and Capital Projects team. Working at the Assistant Manager/Manager level, you will advise on a wide range of projects for public and private sector clients who occupy and manage diverse real estate. This role offers the chance to develop business consulting skills and build on existing professional or industry expertise.

Responsibilities
  • Work on a wide range of public and private sector assignments in the UK and overseas.
  • Work effectively in diverse, inclusive teams where contributions are recognised.
  • Undertake detailed financial and commercial analysis to solve complex problems.
  • Prepare reports and presentations to support client conversations.
  • Engage with stakeholders at all levels of the client organisation, up to Board level.
  • Develop and deliver project workstreams within real estate, facilities management and capital programmes as part of a cross-Deloitte team.

Examples of projects you could work on include:

  • Identify a new head office location using data analysis, define requirements and stand up the programme to relocate and deliver to 2000+ staff.
  • Advise the public sector on policy changes and support implementation.
  • Support a real estate portfolio cost reduction programme for a PE-owned global media company.
  • Define Corporate Real Estate and Facilities Management strategy for a high-profile facilities transformation for a FTSE 250 company.
  • Design and establish a target operating model for a major organisation with a £2bn+ annual capital plan.
  • Provide real estate input on cross-Deloitte projects to help government reduce carbon emissions.
  • Prepare robust business cases for future changes to real estate investments, including cost-benefit analysis and service delivery models (range from £5m to £1bn+).
  • Develop business cases and delivery strategies for major capital investments.
  • Collaborate on a global cost reduction programme with cross-firm teams.
Qualifications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and report writing skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Experience in real estate and/or infrastructure sectors (or equivalent experience in UK Military or related government departments).
  • Project management and stakeholder engagement experience.
  • Ability to travel as required.
Desirable skills and experience
  • Professional qualification (e.g., CEng, MRICS, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Experience with data analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Knowledge of sustainability initiatives in real estate and infrastructure.
  • Experience in areas such as Corporate real estate functions, Facilities management operations, business case development, estates/real estate transformation and optimisation programmes.
  • Willingness and eligibility to obtain UK security clearance (SC and/or DV level, if required).

Working arrangements and commitments

Hybrid working: You’ll be based in London or Manchester with hybrid working. You’ll collaborate in both virtual and physical spaces, including client sites as required. Deloitte supports flexible work arrangements; specific requirements depend on role and recruiter guidance.
