Overview

Working in the accounts team, you will help to deliver information to management and supporting departments to ensure the right business support. Our client has a need for an Assistant Management Accountant to join their wonderful team on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave until 30th October 2026. This role gives great exposure in a not-for-profit organisation. This role will support the production of the monthly and annual accounts, forecasts, and budgets.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • To assist with the production of monthly management accounts and year-end accounts
  • To assist with the preparation of the group\'s budget and forecasting
  • To assist with the preparation of the monthly management accounts and to carry out detailed analysis
  • To investigate and understand significant variances
  • To prepare and post accruals/prepayment journals
  • To assist in the maintenance of the fixed asset register for both housing and non-housing assets
  • Assist in improving the reporting and accounts production process
  • To assist in the reconciliation of key control accounts
  • To ensure procedures and guidance notes are documented, maintained, and complied with
  • To keep up to date with any system updates and changes, and arrange the workflow to enable control parameters to be kept in place
  • To undertake any relevant training as required

Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Salary: £26,452 Per Annum
