A global student housing company is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join their Finance team on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave. The role is based in Bristol/Oxford and involves preparing VAT reconciliations, managing Accounts Payable, and coordinating payments. We are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join the Finance team on a fixed-term basis to cover Maternity leave.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing VAT reconciliations for upload to Floqast and supporting with VAT return filings across all Europe and UAE entities
  • Managing and supporting Accounts Payable colleague with progressing and resolving queries to ensure timely payments / bill processing
  • Working with the business to ensure proper purchasing process is followed and to provide training on PO procedures.
  • Preparing and posting the prepayments and fixed asset depreciation entries.
  • Preparing month end reconciliations for the prepayments and depreciation
  • Coordinate and manage the payments funding meeting – ensuring all priority and relevant payments are included and setting up funding transfers on HSBC as required.
  • Supporting Finance Manager, Group Reporting Manager and the audit team with resolving queries and with high priority activities
