The Assistant Head of Visitor Operations is a newly created role and will oversee our creative, forward thinking Visitor Experience, Retail & Ticketing teams for Museum of London Docklands. Working closely with the Head of Commercial & Visitor Operations the focus of this role will be generating income, promoting the visitor experience at our Docklands site, and supporting museum wide strategies to prepare for the opening of the new London Museum, Smithfield in 2026. Initially a contract up to 18 months to allow for this period of change while we transform ourselves, this is a position that requires an adaptable and fast paced individual who will jump in but grow with us along our journey. Previous museum experience is not necessary for this role. We are looking for a people focused leader with a commercial acumen and experience in an operational, customer focussed environment. Being able to prioritise workloads, develop people and build good relationships is key.
