They're looking for an Assistant Manager to help lead one of their South London sites - someone who loves plants, thrives in a hands-on retail environment, and knows how to get the best from a team.

As Assistant Manager, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the store - helping to lead the team, maintain high retail standards, and deliver an outstanding customer experience. With a strong focus on the plant area and team development, this is a great opportunity for someone with a solid horticultural background and proven retail leadership experience.
Support the owners in leading and motivating the team.
Ensure the store is well-stocked, beautifully presented, and running smoothly.
Take shared responsibility for rotas, staffing levels, one-to-ones, and team development.
Deliver expert advice to customers on plants and garden care.
Oversee plant deliveries, replenishment, and in-store merchandising.
Maintain high standards of health & safety and visual presentation.
Contribute to recruitment, training, and performance reviews.
Lead by example on the shop floor - this is a hands-on role.
Strong horticultural knowledge.
Experience working in a garden centre, plant-focused retail, or design-led boutique store.
Confident leading a small team in a busy, customer-facing setting.
Organised, energetic, and solutions-focused - someone who thrives on the shop floor.
Passionate about plants, gardening, and creating welcoming retail environments.
Able to support team performance and coach others to improve.
Potential to earn up to 30% on top of base salary.
