Job Title: Assistant Financial Planning Analyst

Location: Warton - We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role

Salary: £41,361+ (DOE)

What you’ll be doing:

  • Support the day-to-day financial reporting processes end to end: Capturing requirements, reviewing inputs, providing synthesis and issuing reporting and support with ad-hoc queries and reporting requirements from various stakeholders within Europe & International (E&I)
  • Support the Half year and Full year Statutory reporting process, provide support to external audit during these periods and support the Monthly Financial Reporting process comparing actuals to budget and evaluation of key risk & opportunities
  • Provide support to Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process
  • Assistance in the preparation and reporting of the quarterly Project Risk Analysis. Undertaking variance analysis to understand movements from previous reporting and forward looking to understand the risk burn-down profiles
  • Support identification of end-to-end process and data improvements, promoting a continuous improvement mindset
  • Dynamically contribute to the delivery of FP&A modernisation to drive standardisation, drive efficiency and effectiveness

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Part-qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA/ICAEW) – AAT will not be accepted
  • Proficient in MS Office skills including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Passionate about improvements and maintaining a continuous improvement culture

Desirable:

  • Proficient with TM1 IBM Planning Analytics
  • Background in FP&A

Within the finance function, FP&A teams are responsible for supporting the delivery of high quality and forward looking financial evaluation and insights to the business. Bringing together FP&A experts from across the UK footprint, they are the primary points of contact into business Finance Directors and Finance Business Partners and provide crucial insights on the key business and financial performance. The FP&A team work alongside other finance capabilities to drive the enhancement of key business processes, working towards establishing data focused and digitally enabled performance reporting to meet the future business needs.
