Overview

We are seeking an Assistant Finance Business Partner to play a vital role in supporting the financial reporting and analysis for 2 of our departments. By partnering with these teams, you will combine your analytical and communication skills to provide financial guidance and support to bring future success to the business. The Role

On a monthly basis, your role will include:

  • Finance Business Partnering
  • Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Service Line Reporting & Contract costing
  • MI data analysis & Month End Reporting
  • Detailed Variance Analysis
  • Creating & Maintaining KPI dashboards
  • Build a fantastic working relationship with your key stakeholders to understand their services to ensure you are producing relevant, specific and meaningful reports along with insightful commentaries.
  • Identifying risks and opportunities within the budgets.
  • Tracking and reporting KPIs while developing new metrics to measure success.
  • Understand the analysis and drivers of variances for each cost line and challenge the status quo.
  • Conduct weekly & monthly finance reviews with your Teams.
  • Support with the review of pricing models and detailed margin analysis for the wider business
  • Assist to maintain detailed financial models
  • Facilitate a prompt and accurate month-end close
  • Work with the Business Partners to monitor Grants income and expenditure and support the Head of Funding in their endeavours to generate funds for key projects.
What You’ll Need
  • You’ll be a part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with existing practical experience of management accounting and variance analysis.
  • Keen to continue studying – we are happy to provide study support for you to do this!
  • You will have previously supported with budgets and forecasts and KPI reporting.
  • You will have excellent communication skills and experience of building collaborative relationships.
  • You will have gained or be excited to gain experience of developing and implementing new process and procedures.
  • You will be a confident user of Excel.
