Job summary

A local authority in Greater Manchester is seeking an Educational Psychologist Assistant to support educational psychologists in various service tasks. Responsibilities include assessing individual children, providing administrative support, and maintaining records related to children and families. The ideal candidate must have at least a 2:1 honours degree in Psychology and relevant experience with children. Job description
  • To support colleagues in the completion of a full range of service tasks, including undertaking.
  • Support EPs in planning/delivering/evaluation of training
  • Contribute to assessment of individual children and young people,
  • General administrative support to a team of EPs
  • To keep accurate, up to date records of all contacts and work relating to children, young people and their families in accordance with service protocols and provide written feedback as required.
  • Delivery and training in relation to direct interventions with CYP

    At least 2:1 honours degree in Psychology (or recognised equivalent) and the Graduate Basis for Registration or Chartership (GBR/ GBC) as a psychologist as required by the British Psychological Society.

  • To hold a valid driving licence / enhanced DBS
  • Significant post-qualifying experience (at least 2 years) of working directly with children and parents, for example, ideally within schools, colleges or nursery.
