We are seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to join Hywel Dda University Health Board as Assistant Director for Medical Workforce Planning. This pivotal role will lead the corporate agenda for medical workforce across the Health Board, ensuring we maximise the talents of our medical workforce and develop it in flexible, efficient, and cost-effective ways. The postholder will also be accountable for the delivery of the Clinical Audit agenda, ensuring it informs service improvement and aligns with both national and local priorities, The Assistant Director for Medical Workforce Planning will be the lead for the Medical Directorate for medical workforce planning, ensuring the Health Board makes use of the talents of its workforce and develops its workforce in flexible, efficient and cost-effective ways. The post will lead the delivery of the Clinical Audit agenda for the organisation ensuring this informs the Service Improvement agenda and ensures best practice and is aligned to both national and local priorities. The Assistant Director for Medical Workforce Planning is primarily responsible for ensuring a comprehensive and co-ordinated approach to medical workforce planning and development to meet the Health Board's current and future needs. Assisting the Deputy Director in developing the structure, systems and processes for medical leads and other clinicians including MAPs. Lead the short and long-term medical workforce planning strategy in line with the Health Board's Annual Planning cycle. Maintaining and delivering a robust framework for the Health Board, including the identification of risks, key milestones and change management.
