Assistant Contract Manager – Grounds Maintenance

Somerset Area | Hybrid | £35,000 - £37,000 + Car/Van

Signet Recruitment are looking to appoint an Assistant Contract Manager to support the delivery of a major grounds maintenance contract for a client of ours operating across the Somerset area.

Working alongside an experienced Contract Manager, you’ll play a key role in the day‑to‑day operational management of a £1m contract, supporting site teams, monitoring performance, and helping to maintain strong client relationships. With further contract growth forecast, this is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to step up into contracts management within a growing facilities management business.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Supporting the operational delivery of a large grounds maintenance contract
  • Assisting with team supervision, scheduling, and resource planning
  • Helping to monitor KPIs, SLAs, and service standards
  • Attending client meetings, site inspections, and service reviews
  • Supporting budgets, invoicing, and cost control
  • Ensuring health & safety and compliance standards are met

  • Experience in grounds maintenance or facilities management
  • Background in a supervisory, assistant management, or operational support role
  • Strong organisation and communication skills
