  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical thinking.
  • Collaborative mindset and confidence working across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and manage subcontracts aligned with MoD requirements.
  • Lead performance reviews and ensure timely, accurate payments.
  • Oversee Work in Progress and deliver timely financial reports.
  • Monitor contract P&L, identify risks, and drive improvements.
  • Use Maximo and COINS to track jobs, assets, and financials.

What You'll Be Doing

As Assistant Commercial Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring financial and commercial control across the contract. Your focus will span supply chain management, cost assurance, and performance reporting. You'll be the point of contact between operational teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders—driving accuracy, compliance, and commercial success.

Key Responsibilities
Subcontractor Management
  • Draft and manage subcontracts aligned with MoD requirements
  • Lead performance reviews and ensure timely, accurate payments
  • Approve applications and maintain compliance across the supply chain
Commercial & Financial Control
  • Oversee Work in Progress and deliver timely financial reports
  • Monitor contract P&L, identify risks, and drive improvements
  • Manage contract variations and ensure accurate client billing
Systems & Reporting
  • Use Maximo and COINS to track jobs, assets, and financials
  • Maintain audit-ready records and present commercial reports to stakeholders
