Qualifications

  • Over 18 months of Building Surveying experience.
  • An appropriate level of knowledge of building construction and regulations, planning legislation, and health and safety.
  • Full UK Driving License.

Responsibilities

  • Determine the condition of existing buildings and analyse defects.
  • Conduct specialist surveys including schedules of dilapidations.
  • Advise on health and safety aspects of buildings.
  • Deal with planning applications and provide advice on property legislation.
  • Ensure projects are completed on budget and to schedule.
  • Prepare scheme designs, costings, and specifications.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and project delivery team.

Skills

Good problem-solving skills
Microsoft Office proficient
ArchiCAD / CAD proficient

Education

Degree in Building Surveying or suitable experience
Working towards professional qualification e.g. MRICS, MCIOB
