Job summary

A leading automotive company in West Bridgford is seeking a detailed-oriented Assistant Accountant to assist in the production of management statistics and accounts. Responsibilities include forecasts, payroll management, and reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of Excel and exceptional communication skills. This full-time, permanent position offers a salary of up to £30,000 plus excellent benefits including 25 days holiday, pension, and a colleague purchase scheme.

Qualifications

  • Experienced Assistant Accountant looking for growth.

Responsibilities

  • Produce spreadsheets and statistical data to support management.
  • Complete forecasts, estimates and assist with Management Accounts.
  • Handle payroll, reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and cash flow.

Skills

Knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft packages
Good organisational skills

Job description

You will work alongside the accountant in the production of spreadsheets and statistical data to support the management team, and as an aid to business decisions. Alongside day‑to‑day accounts you will also complete the following tasks:

  • Forecasts
  • Estimates
  • Assist with the production of the Management Accounts
  • Payroll
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Accruals and Prepayments
  • Cash Flow
  • Reconciling Manufacturer Bonuses
  • Credit Control
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Assistant Accountant, who is looking to take the next step up. A working knowledge of the Kerridge accounting system would be ideal but not essential, as well as previous Motor Trade experience. You will have the ability to communicate effectively with all financial and non‑financial colleagues, clients and customers, and exhibit exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

This is a Full‑Time, permanent role where we are offering a basic salary up to £30,000 depending on experience plus an excellent range of company benefits.
