Job summary

A leading financial services firm is seeking a part qualified accountant to join their finance team. This role offers a unique opportunity to support financial reporting for a diverse group of entities, contribute to intercompany reconciliations, and gain exposure to both regulated and unregulated environments. Ideal candidates will be studying towards an ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification and possess valuable experience in a similar finance role.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years experience in a similar finance role.
  • Good understanding of preliminary financial reporting tasks.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with preparation of consolidated monthly management accounts.
  • Reconcile intercompany transactions, ensuring compliance.
  • Provide cover for the Accounts Payable controller.

About The Role

Purpose

Reporting to 7IM Group Accountant, this role is to support the group accounting function of the finance team. It offers exposure to entities growing both organically and inorganically and provides an excellent development opportunity for an enthusiastic and detailed oriented part qualified accountant looking to progress their career at an exciting, growing business.

Responsibilities
• Assist with the preparation of consolidated monthly management accounts for a group composed of both regulated and unregulated entities.
• Assist with the preparation of consolidated results for lenders and shareholders reporting packs.
• Assist with the production of first draft of annual statutory accounts for the non trading entities of the group.
• Reconcile all intercompany transactions, ensuring compliance with Group Transfer Pricing policy.
• Review and report on daily liquidity position across the group
• Bank entries and bank reconciliations of all non-trading entities.
• Balance sheet reconciliations for all non-trading entities.
• Processing staff expenses for payment and being a point of contact on all business expenses matters
• Provide cover for the Accounts Payable controller
• Other, as reasonably required by line manager and 7IM.

About You

Skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy of work.

• Ability to manage workload effectively and work on own initiative.

Knowledge
• Systems Literate (excel, word and outlook).
• Experience SunSystems/ Q&A and Proactis expense module advantageous.

Qualifications
• Studying towards ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
• Have at least 2 years experience in a similar finance-based role.

Other Relevant Information
• The role will comprise a mixture of regular tasks, ad hoc tasks and cover for other roles as the Finance department operates very much as a team.
• While not directly interacting with customers, your actions should align with upholding the FCA's Consumer Duty principles, thereby contributing to fair and beneficial outcomes for our clients.
