An expanding manufacturing business in East Lancashire is seeking an Assistant Accountant. Responsibilities include cash flow reporting, journal postings, and producing monthly management accounts. The successful candidate will be pursuing ACCA/CIMA or be AAT qualified, with strong Excel and communication skills.

Job description

An expanding manufacturing business operating in the heart of East Lancashire now seek to appoint a new Assistant Accountant

Reporting to the Management Accounant you will be responsible for the production of the monthly management accounts pack.

Duties will include, however are not limited to, cash flow reporting, journal postings such as accruals and prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations, payroll analysis, VAT returns, MI reporting, and sales and purchase ledger processing.

The successful candidate:

• Will be studying towards ACCA/CIMA or be AAT qualified
• Will have a strong month end background
• Will have good Excel skills
• Have strong verbal and written communication skills
