As Asset Manager, you will be the technical authority for asset management, planned maintenance and lifecycle planning on site. You will ensure that all assets are accurately captured, maintained and reported through the management information system, while providing expert technical advice to the wider business.

Please Note: Due to the festive period, applications will not be reviewed or shortlisted until 5 January 2026.

What you’ll do
  • Develop, mobilise, implement and continuously improve the Asset Management Strategy for the contract in line with Sodexo frameworks, contractual obligations and legislative requirements.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for asset management, planned maintenance and lifecycle planning across Merville Barracks.
  • Produce, maintain and govern a fully compliant Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) programme, ensuring alignment with statutory regulations, SFG20, manufacturer guidance and industry best practice.
  • Establish, maintain and control a detailed and accurate asset register within the Management Information System, ensuring all assets are correctly categorised, risk-rated and maintained.
  • Ensure all assets are accurately captured using all available information, including operations and maintenance manuals, drawings, as‑built records and site surveys.
  • Update asset data promptly following lifecycle replacement, reactive works, variations or capital projects to ensure data integrity at all times.
  • Develop, manage and maintain a comprehensive maintenance task library, ensuring correct task allocation against applicable asset types.
  • Ensure maintenance tasks are scheduled efficiently in close liaison with hard services teams to minimise operational impact and meet contractual KPIs.
  • Define and prepare all required asset management processes, procedures and policy documentation, ensuring compliance with Sodexo and client requirements.
  • Provide technical audit capability across the contract to ensure service delivery teams adhere to statutory, contractual and internal compliance obligations.
  • Carry out technical audits, identify non‑conformances and support corrective action plans to drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead on the technical input into lifecycle planning, estates maintenance strategy and long‑term investment planning.
  • Identify asset risks and performance issues, developing mitigation strategies and improvement plans.
  • Prepare, develop and present robust business cases for technical projects, lifecycle replacement and capital works.
  • Develop clear and compliant technical specifications, scopes of works and supporting documentation for projects, variations and pricing exercises.
  • Provide technical support and expert advice to the wider business, including Technical Services teams, RMPA, G4 and CMT stakeholders.
  • Support project delivery by providing technical assurance throughout design, installation, commissioning and handover stages.
  • Collate, control and maintain as‑built records, property files, drawings and technical documentation, ensuring accurate and accessible records.
  • Attend and contribute to client and internal meetings to review planned maintenance programmes, lifecycle works and project progress.
  • Produce accurate and timely monthly KPI, compliance and performance reports as required by the contract.
  • Demonstrate a strong technical understanding of systems, processes and estate infrastructure across the site.
  • Participate in on‑call rotas and escalation processes to support operational resilience.
  • Foster a positive health, safety and compliance culture, ensuring adherence to all applicable statutory requirements and Sodexo policies.
  • Carry out any other reasonable tasks as required to support operational and contractual objectives.
What you bring
  • You will be a proactive, organised and technically competent professional, comfortable working autonomously and influencing across multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage at all levels.
  • Strong team player with a collaborative approach.
  • Flexible and able to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
  • Capable of working on own initiative with minimal supervision.
  • IT literate, with experience of Microsoft Office applications.
