Job description

Morson are working with the leading Aerospace Manufacturer who are looking for an Industrial Engineer with experience in assembly to join the team at the site near Chester.

Job Requirements

Deployment and support of Drilling & Fastening equipment (Semi-Automated and manual).

Defining new equipment and developing new drilling and fastening assembly processes.

Project managing and providing technical support to existing machinery.

Implementing continuous improvement projects into the wing manufacturing processes.

Interfacing with internal customers, support functions, transnational counterparts, and external suppliers.

Delivery of projects and support related to semi-automated and manual drilling and fastening equipment (ADU & ABE).

Developing, documenting, and supporting productivity improvements with ME communities and customers.

Management of Continuous Improvement and EHS Projects

Providing Methods and Process technical support to the manufacturing operations department.

Managing major Capital investment projects and leading multi-functional teams to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality delivery.

Skills and Knowledge

Good technical background in shop floor processes, preferably drilling or fastening.

Good understanding of the wing build process.

Fluent English at negotiation level (commercial and technical).

Knowledge of Google office-based applications (Sheets, Slides, GMail, etc.).

Analytical and problem-solving skills.

Understanding of cross-functional working.

Excellent communication skills.

Well‑organised, rigorous, and attention to detail.

Strong team player / leader with self‑motivation.

Stakeholder management, organisational, and multitasking skills.

Degree level qualification (or equivalent) in Engineering is desirable.
