Assembler - Parts - Manufacturing | Braintree | Temp ongoing Salary: £12.21 per hour + Annual Bonus Potential (typically around 10%) Hours: Day Shift, 38 hours per week Location: Braintree

A long-established engineering manufacturer in Braintree is looking to recruit a Parts Assembler to join their growing production team. This is a fantastic temp opportunity offering stability, full training, and the chance to develop specialist skills in a clean, technical manufacturing environment.

Duties include:
  • Working from daily job lists set by the department supervisor
  • Following written work instructions and basic wiring diagrams
  • Maintaining high cleanliness standards and following strict Health & Safety procedures
  • Using a range of hand tools - side cutters, spanners, Allen keys etc.
  • Performing repeatable, detailed soldering work
  • Measuring, cutting, stripping and handling coloured cable and small components
  • Masking and sandblasting components
  • Ultrasonic cleaning and preparing moulds & assemblies
  • Applying release agents and assembling small moulds
  • Weighing and mixing epoxy resin & hardener
  • Using vacuum systems to fill moulds
  • Aligning, gluing, and inspecting components
  • Moving finished components (up to approx. 10kg) using stairs when required
  • Completing concessions, marking up works orders, and packing finished products
The ideal candidate:
  • Has experience in a hands‑on manufacturing, assembly, or production environment
  • Is comfortable working with small parts, hand tools, and repeatable processes
  • Can follow detailed instructions
  • Has good dexterity and an eye for detail
  • Is flexible and able to multitask in a fast‑paced environment
