A local education authority in the United Kingdom is seeking a motivated nursery additional support needs auxiliary to join their nursery team. This role involves providing care and assistance to children with additional support needs in a semi-rural school setting. The position is temporary until March 2026, offering flexible working hours. Candidates must meet essential criteria outlined in the specification and register with SSSC within a stipulated time after employment.
The salary advertised is full time (35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year). Part-time hours / sessional posts will be pro-rated accordingly.
Hourly rate of pay: £14.65 - £15.75
Temporary until 31st March 2026.
This is a 52-week non-sessional post i.e., it will include working during the school holidays.

Aberlady is a seven class school with a 48 week model nursery offering two sessions per week (Monday‑Tuesday/Wednesday‑Thursday and alternate Fridays) in a semi‑rural location situated on the coastline of East Lothian. We are looking for a motivated, skilled nursery additional support needs auxiliary to join our nursery team. The ASN role will be based in the nursery room providing additional support to the children who attend the nursery.
To provide care and assistance to individuals and small groups of pupils with additional support needs.
