Job Description

A successful medium sized asbestos consultancy, with ambitious plans to grow, is currently recruiting for an asbestos surveyor / analyst to join their South East team. The role would suit those looking to move away from domestic work and focus predominantly on a portfolio of large commercial / industrial sites. The successful candidate will be working predominantly across the Home Counties, with minimal London travel. You will hold extensive experience working as an asbestos consultant within an established consultancy and will be able to demonstrate a strong technical knowledge of HSG:264 and/or HSG:248 guidelines.

Consideration will be given to those with good access to the Home Counties region, including: Watford, Enfield, St Albans, Luton, Stevenage, Hatfield, Welwyn Garden City, Hemel Hempstead, Hertford, Ware, Hitchin, Letchworth Garden City, Leighton Buzzard, Milton Keynes, Bedford, Biggleswade, Cambridge, Northampton, Kettering, Peterborough and the surrounding areas.

Experience & Qualifications

• BOHS P402, P403, P404 (or RSPH) equivalent.
• Previous hands‑on experience working as an asbestos surveyor / analyst / consultant.
• Ideally experienced in undertaking complex surveys on large industrial and commercial sites.
• Strong technical knowledge and experience interpreting reports and providing consultancy advice.
• Good organisational skills and able to manage workload efficiently.

The Role

• Working across Commercial / Industrial sites, carrying out Management, Refurbishment and Demolition surveys.
• Conducting 4-stage clearances.
• Carrying out smoke, background, leak, re‑occupation, and personal air testing.
• Undertaking Visual inspections of asbestos enclosures.
• Supervision of removal projects.
• Providing clients with detailed reports, using information gathered from site.
• Providing clients with excellent technical support and advice when needed.
• Managing own workload, scheduling work efficiently, making time for writing reports and meeting clients on site.
• Providing support and supervising trainees on site.
• Producing re‑occupation certificates for clients.
