Job summary

A leading environmental consultancy in England is seeking an Asbestos Laboratory Technician to manage and deliver the workflow of asbestos sample preparation and analysis. Ideal candidates will have experience or knowledge of using microscopes, particularly Scanning Electron Microscopes (SEM), and a qualification in a science discipline. The role includes laboratory duties focused on quality standards, data entry, and report writing, with training available for those without prior laboratory experience.

Qualifications

• Experience or knowledge of working with microscopes or SEM is essential.
• Ideally, experience of working in a UKAS accredited laboratory but training can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver the workflow of asbestos samples for preparation and analysis.
• Prepare and analyze samples adhering to strict quality standards.
• Write asbestos analysis reports.
