Job description

Are you passionate about creativity, visual expression, and nurturing artistic talent? We are seeking an imaginative and dedicated Art Teacher to join a vibrant and supportive creative arts faculty.

You will be responsible for delivering engaging Art lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 (A-Level or equivalent) depending on experience. The role begins in September 2025.

Duties as an Art Teacher:
  1. Deliver a creative and ambitious art curriculum that develops students' technical skills and artistic thinking.
  2. Plan lessons exploring art history, contemporary practice, and various materials and techniques.
  3. Prepare students for internal assessments and external qualifications (GCSE/A-Level).
  4. Create a positive and inclusive studio environment where all students feel confident to express themselves.
  5. Contribute to the wider department through art clubs, exhibitions, and cross-curricular projects.
  6. Support the development of student portfolios and coursework.
Ideal Art Teacher:
  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  2. A degree in Art, Fine Art, or a closely related discipline.
  3. Strong subject knowledge and a passion for visual arts.
  4. Experience teaching Art at secondary level (KS3–KS4 essential; KS5 desirable).
  5. Creativity, flexibility, and excellent classroom management skills.
  6. A commitment to inclusive education and student development.
