£46,142 - £51,356 per annum | Fixed Term 3 year contract | Full Time, 37 hours per week | Preston

You will be a natural communicator who thrives on building strong relationships, with well-honed interpersonal skills and the ability to lead complex projects from start to finish. In this role, you’ll bring clarity, confidence and collaboration to every stage of delivery, ensuring stakeholders are engaged, deadlines are met and outcomes make a real difference.

Finding that balance between the engagement activity you will lead on, coupled with the project management elements, you’ll lead initiatives that improve services and create opportunities for Armed Forces veterans and their families.   • Work closely with organisations who support veterans, their families, and other local partners to ensure support is accessible and effective.
  • Collaborate across council departments and stakeholders to drive positive change.
  • Plan, manage, and deliver meaningful projects that make a tangible difference.
  • Ensure our work is communicated to the public and stakeholders.
  • Monitor progress, manage risks and ensure compliance with governance frameworks.

Your experience to date will have really helped shape your knowledge and skills around:

  • Communicating and engaging – exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships, work well with others, influence and communicate at all levels
  • Supporting organisations who help veterans and their families to integrate into their communities and mobilising Lancashire's armed forces community speak with one voice
  • Working with stakeholders, develop a countywide Armed Forces strategy and action plan to deliver on the council's Covenant commitments.
  • Provide policy support and guidance to the county council's Armed Forces and Veterans Champion.
  • Balance strategic and operational thinking at the same time with effective project management approaches
  • Beingmotivated to make a real impact and take pride in the meaningful work we do
