About Our Client

Our client is a UK leading supplier of drainage solutions who have a strong track record in the industry.

We are looking for a motivated External Sales Representative to promote and sell high-quality clay drainage products to contractors, merchants, and specifiers across the construction and civil engineering sectors. The ideal candidate will have field sales experience, strong industry knowledge, and the ability to build lasting customer relationships while delivering technical support and commercial solutions.

Job Description
  • Identify, develop, and manage sales opportunities across your designated region
  • Build strong relationships with existing customers and actively seek new business
  • Promote technical clay drainage products and solutions to contractors, consultants, specifiers, and merchants
  • Support customers with product selection, technical advice, and commercial solutions
  • Deliver presentations, CPDs, and product demonstrations as required
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams including technical, customer service, and marketing
  • Provide accurate sales forecasting and market intelligence
  • Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and site visits
The Successful Applicant
  • Proven experience in a Key Account Management or Sales role within the construction materials sector (heavy sider construction products, clay products or drainage systems preferred).
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with a track record of managing senior-level relationships.
  • Ability to work with commercially sensitive and confidential information.
  • Excellent communication, planning, and organisational abilities.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and capable of working independently.
  • Knowledge of UK building and drainage regulations is advantageous.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required
