Overview
The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth of the company's flooring products (including LVT, carpet, laminate, and hardwood ranges) within a defined geographical territory. This role focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships with retailers, distributors, contractors, architects, and specifiers, while delivering against sales and revenue targets.
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow sales across the assigned region through proactive business development.
- Develop strong, long-term relationships with key customers (retailers, distributors, contractors, and design/specifier contacts).
- Achieve and exceed sales targets, revenue goals, and territory KPIs.
- Identify new business opportunities within the flooring sector and convert them into active accounts.
- Deliver product presentations, training, and demonstrations to customers.
- Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and customer requirements to inform sales strategy.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms in line with company policies.
- Provide technical support and product knowledge to customers.
- Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity, pipeline, and customer information via CRM systems.

Experience & Qualifications
- Previous sales experience within flooring, building products, or interiors (essential).
- Experience in managing a defined geographical territory.
- Knowledge of LVT, carpet, laminate, hardwood, or commercial flooring products (desirable).
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Full UK driving licence
